It's been a long, uneventful month...unless studying is eventful.  We moved in on the 5th of January, and did nothing but study until the night of the 23rd.  The reason, is because the morning of the 23rd we took the NBME Comprehensive Shelf Exam.  It is meant to be a meter for the past 2 years to see if each student is at an acceptable level of knowledge.  Today, the results were posted and I passed!  It was the hardest test I have taken thus far, and I'm glad it worked out in my favor.  I personally know several people who werent so lucky, and they will have to retake it in a few months.
 
Although passing is a huge relief, I still seem to have neverending busy work.  I know in the long run it is beneficial... regardless it is a draaaaaaag.  On the plus side, my roommate and I had an overnight rotation in the local emergency room that was excellent!  I'm hoping that the rest of our clinicals go so well!

Well it has been a long vacation, and now I am finally settled in Miami. I'm liking it so far, it's 85 degrees which is much better than what we had in Texas last month. I live in a really interesting area called Coconut Grove, a block from the ocean. The condo amenities are on the lower end, although better than what I had while living in Guadalajara. All in all, ready to get going with the next semester (starts on January 20th).

Also, as you may notice, the Photo Albums are temporarily gone. After moving the directories around trying to make some things easier, it actually caused more problems, making some of the pictures not show. So, I deleted them all, and will be uploading them over the next month.

I have some heavy studying the next couple months, please forgive me for being a recluse. Happy new year!
