Last month in March, I bought the Omnitech 16878 GPS unit from woot.com for $65 after shipping.  It features a nice 4.3" screen, built in battery, SD slot, and built in stylus that works flawlessly on the touch screen.  My only complaint is that the text to speech isnt as loud as the Mio C230.  As I mentioned in my previous post, I was very happy with my previous GPS, the Mio Digiwalker C230, however I wanted to upgrade to one with a larger screen and more points of interest (POI).  I wasnt going to buy the Omnitech until I found a tutorial on how to hack the Omnitech to run other GPS software.  There was a video on youtube of the unit smoothly running Navigon!  I had to accept the challenge!  I'm very happy that I did because after the mod, it makes the Mio look horrible!  I wouldnt recommend it for its factory installed software though, it was subpar to the Mio.  Anyway, here again is my personal favorite GPS information site: gpspassion.com.  Also check this forum because the Omnitech has a larger following, with much better tutorials: techsmarttips.com.  I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
